Nonchalant this fool's barrier of gold
my salvation of a sophisticated facade
pretending assurance while within my
imprisonment trembling of my superfical
exposure feathered by panic and despair

Incapacitate the desolation
hear my cry to remove my
false deceit with your gentle
hands upon my face applying
wonderment upon my lips
bridging ever streaming tears

Only A fool you say would wear such
a mask, but I challenge every being
of blank stares...cast out lifeless
dead air and breathe aliveness in
acceptance as One is...perusing
from within your own naked purity of
self growth..unmasked in the reveal

I suppose we all wear some form of mask to protect ourselves from life's slings and arrows. You are probably right that we can best dispense with the mask with the help of a loved one.
