The Average Maiden

She isn`t petite in fact she`s quite tall,
when you see her, at first, she doesnt enthral,
she`ll tell you she doesnt need saving atall
thinks nothing of getting in a beer swigging brawl

Her hair isnt golden its more reddish grey,
it isnt like silk it feels more like hay.
Her teeth are in a state of decay
her skin tone`s not honey but looks just like clay

Would you say she was pretty? I`m not really sure
she`s built quite robustly she isn`t demure
she hasnt vast riches, in fact she`s quite poor,
if you bow down before her she`ll show you the door

But she`s loving and caring and oh so refined,
a more passionate partner you never will find,
she has honour and values and presence of mind
This maiden is loyal, so truthful and kind.

Outwardly I'm smiling, I liked it.
Inwardly I'm seeing a woman with life experience, a woman like me. No-one special but extra-special in her own way.
A great write. Thank you

I like it! Good tribute to what i call a hard baked personality. I have a friend who I really like and respect because he is one hundred percent honest, yet I don't like his heavy drinking and his total disrespect for Christianity. _ Vic

It wasn't the rhyming that caught my attention--it was the vivid discription!!
Love it--inward beauty...now THAT lasts forever!!

A bit too much rhyming here, also remember setting the apostrophes.
