This little poem is about breaking up with someone you still love.

The break up

You said goodbye and walked away

I tried to smile and wave

I knew it was the end that day

And wanted to be brave

A tear slipped slowly from my eye

And glided to my ear

I tried so hard not to cry

But blinked and shed a tear

I hurried through the busy town

As fast as I could go

I didn’t want to let you down

Or make a scene, you know

My heart was bursting so inside

Could hardly breathe at all

It wasn’t that you hurt my pride

You were my love, my all

Why wasn’t I the one for you

You seemed so right for me

But when I found you were untrue

I had to set you free

So will I ever love again

 Find someone just as sweet

Could they really ease the pain

And make my life complete

I sure can empathise. And the lass I thought was right lived thousands of miles away in NY USA.

Somewhen you'll realise it is so long bad rubbish!
