Thats Gene on the left & me on the right...(an older, rather beat up photo but it shows us together)

Born was he in the early fifties,

Raised was he in the sixties,

Still now does he live in the fifties,

Music from that era he finds nifty…

A better friend one will never find,

Even with all my problems he does never mind,

To talk to me at all hours of the day & night,

For me he has been there with all of his might…

When I couldn’t drive, he drove me,

I am sure at that time I drove him crazy,

He has never in life been lazy,

Working two or more jobs making a good fee,

This is guy is the best, as I know you all can see…

A friend in need, is a friend indeed.

I didn't write that but it is apropos for this poem.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Good friends. "Good" friends are a wonderful thing to have and to hold onto, Ed, but I know you are aware of that.
