To all my friends, known and unknown, I wish a pray for sweet memories and the promise of a better day. May love grow evermore in your hearts in this new rising in this our time of change.

A Time of Change

A new year has broken upon the pale morning sky putting to sleep another year gone by.

Yesterday’s memories rest in peace on satin pillows in the quite respites of our mind.

Friends of yesterday sleep now with angels; their lives once lived now etched in stone.

Change is inevitable, un-stoppable like the mighty sea’s tide…yesterday sleeps, forever gone.

We watch as the clouds of a new year arrive, sprinkled with the shy peeks of a new morning sun.

A time of change, come now the hope of a new day; rest now the past for its day is done.

My old acquaintances shall be not forgotten despite the singing which comes from an old song.

I see, I retain the memories of all those I once knew, but are now quietly gone.

I vow in this time of change in the coming of this a new day.

I vow to love even more; I promise my heart to remain true and love all in every way.

Though sweet is the savor of yesterday, greater is the promise in this a time of change.

Change is inevitable.....only God changes not. This is beautifully written, full of cherished memories, but rich with promise for the future. I just love this, Allen. I too will save it and read it when I need to be reminded to be faithful to all that God expects of me.
God bless you richly in 2012.
