This book is an instance in which the whole community is mistaken in its apperception of reality, while an adolescent gets it right...

Swimming to save ourselves

Arms of expression

When we expose our passions and desires through artistic expression,

upon their release from the deep fathoms within our bosoms, we as artists, like a swimmer, are spared from drowning in a sea of emotions.

But as our expressions quench the thirst of mariners from a passing ship, we then find contentment in being rescued, knowing that as the vessel eventually sails far beyond our reach,  we must keep paddling with the arms of expression, to stay afloat.

How powerfully put...I find that writing to deep stirring music helps me release emotions that sometimes are lost deep within the soul...

Yes, without it we might slip into the depths but we are able instead to express. It can be such a lifeline!
