between l & r

in me there is a place
between the l & r
where you will always be
and remains the faded scar
no one ever sees it
beneath my jeans so long
no one would understand
they would tell me it is wrong
but they don't feel me
or the life that came from my hips
they can't read me
or my heart as it rips
at the seams
hiding from them all
trying the best I can
to avoid the up-fall
convenience
is of course a reality
when they think of what it means
left and right it must be
isn't that what my smiles
say
no one will ever know
until I'm gone away
