I heard the birds sweetly sing

Then I knew it’s almost spring

When nature touches everything

And renewal it begins to bring.

After all the gloomy snow,

Shades of green will start to show.

The sun will soon be all aglow

And tulip bulbs will start to grow.

Feathered friends are on the go,

Returning to a place they know.

How glad I am it warms my heart

That Ol Man Winter soon will part

And I will see some works of art.

Oh joyous spring, please let it start!

Six more weeks

Showed on his cheeks

That woodchuck's toothful grin

For though he saw his shaddow

He knew it will snow again
