The boundaries of creation
is blinded by sight
to the laws of creation
and all of its might.

There is no greater sorrow
than a word enslaved
and no greater confusion
than the word in cage.

These lines that I write
are the shards that I pick
from my soul.

They're tears
and laughter,
they're sorrow
and joy.

They make up
the true meaning of me,
my thoughts
my knowledge
my philosophy.

I like your shards. I have my own. They seem to reflect back to yours. Enslaved? Sometimes I feel that. Then I realize I have a functioning (still) brain. That can unslave us. Cage? Same philosophy as enslaved, our brain (functioning) can break the doors of the cage. And then . . . we look around and realize (maybe) that we have only opened a door to a much larger cage.

I adore poems that grab my intellect. This one did.
