On the lam, I'm heading for south of the border. |
|
Caught my wife cheating on me,
Left Georgia about half-past ten,
Door ajar - shot them in the bed,
Don’t think I’m going back again.
Would my wife have gotten shot,
Running makes a me think a lot,
If she’d voted for Newt Gingrich?
Georgia’s man never had a shot.
Think I’ll go down to old Mexico,
Drink Tequilas till the sunrises,
One moment can change you,
Yes, this life’s full of surprises.
Know I’ll be living me a good life,
GA Rambo South of the border,
Spending up my Yankee dollar,
See Pesos ain’t worth a quarter.
Wait there’s something wrong,
That’s sirens blaring a song?
Blue lights right up behind me,
Making me go where I belong.
Wait! Must be just the booze,
My wife’s waking me in bed,
Think I’ll take her on a cruise,
To sunny Acapulco instead!

This one's got an edge up on ol' Jimmy... but there's a bit of a Buffet feel to the lyric...especially with the "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes" motif...
Anyways, Nicely done, Starman
