Home from work,

Still light to out lurk,

My bike tuned up today,

Rode yesterday & this day…

I am looking forward to riding,

Out on the road, my time I’m biding,

I need to work up to that,

Maybe by the summer I won’t be as fat…

I come home tired,

Instead of sleeping, I ride,

Only maybe a mile, not much,

But exercise is the key,

To help to keep my diabetes a bit more under control,

Love again to be staying with my bike in touch…

Yep, exercise is the key, Ed, but the second key is every day. Every day. Each day make the ride just a little bit further. Back away from the table some. I lost eighty pounds when I first learned I had diabetes. I did it by portion control, leaving off eating what I wasn't supposed to and walking every day. When I started on the diet and walking I weighted almost 300 pounds. These days I weigh in the 172 range give a few pounds either way. Haven't felt better in years. You can do it, Ed.
