One winter day I told my son
Come take a walk with me
There's more to snow than you may know
I'll show you so you'll see.
The flakes which fell on my black coat
So pretty to behold
Lingered a while before they'd melt
Because it was so cold
I pointed out how differently
Each snowflake did appear
"No two alike in this whole world!"
My wisdom he would hear
My little boy gazed at the flakes
Which on my coat did fall
And then with "pearls" he asked me this,
"Why, have you seen them all?"
