...relaxing is the key...

The moon bright,

The sky clear,

The stars out,

Me with my dear…

Time for a little evening cruise,

Before our night time snooze,

Nothing tonight will we lose,

Except for a few gallons of gas,

And missing the TV news…

Dropping anchor in a cove,

Tea on the stove,

Off starboard are mangroves,

Off port, small town lights,

A virtual, of lights, treasure trove…

Sounds like paradise, but how can that be? You live in Jersey, right? This is March, right? ... and aren't those palm trees in the background? Guess you really did have a mild winter.

Lovely write. Dick

I hate it when we lose that gas. Sounds like a gas to me. Moonlight on the water with no news to interfere with a little spooning.

Sounds like that's where I ought to be.
The last time I went on an evening's cruise was in South Africa, a few years ago now, on a catamaran, watching basking sharks, off the coast of Cape Town.
This takes me right back there.

Romantic. Brings back memories of me on Lake Lanier as a kid. Know the lights well. Star-crossed and seaward-bound, you are lover and a poet, sir.

sounds dreamy!
