There is no "making fun of" intended in this poem. I love Rose!

Her name is Rose and each day
She feeds ducks and birds by the score
Which gather to see
What their treat will be
That she will throw out her back door

Rose is a neighbor of mine
Do I have a tale to relate
A few days ago
I watched old Rose throw
Bread over my back garden gate

First let me make one thing clear
Rose has been termed "legally blind"
I'd never make light
Of one with poor sight
'Just a funny tale keep in mind

I have a garden in which
A birdbath and statue do stand
The statue's a duck
It cost me a buck
At it's feet the bread it would land

The next time I saw good old Rose
I pointed at that duck and said
"Rose, that duck won't eat
It's made of concrete
It looks so real you've been misled
