Re-post, because it just needs to be said every so often.

I awake early and
I have nothing to say
but your name.
I awake early and
I have nothing to remember
but your face.
I am the wild beast, who,
after being befriended,
turns to bite the hand
so gentle and understanding.
I awake early and
I have nothing to scream
but your name.

Such primal inner voices are so hard to come by, i.e., writers willing to express them. Yeah, most will hint, but this is raw, visceral and heavenly animalistic, like our nature. Loved it.

Is it not a shame that time cannot stand still at will so that the good memories in life can continue just like a photograph? Excellent work.

In my experience, screaming accomplishes little, yet apologies are rarely adequit. None-the -less, great write. Dick
