I see your world in photographs,
frozen in time, alluring, lovely, still.
I see the mountain view,
all the land and more mountains far off,
and you, preserved in that age you were
and that shirt you wore.
I see the you there,
before more things happened after
and I'm taken by the image of you
in that moment I didn't share with you.
And I'm happy for your living large and
larger and largest.
I'm happy you went out the door
and jumped and swam and laughed with others.
I'm happy there are pictures that show me
you went there and did that,
that you had the appetite for it and
the health, energy and interest.
I'm happy you put life on
and wore it to the party.
