Sometimes when we want something so badly, we wonder if it is a dream, or if we are living in reality?

A Dream, or Reality?

by Amber "V" Moonstone
4/3/12

Deeply moving sentiments

seeping within stardust dreams
longing for a moment
standing alone it seems.

Deeply centered emotions,
swirling like a storm,
longing for a moment
that is out of the norm.

Deeply thinking mind,
dazed and confused,
longing to understand,
all that is refused.

Deeply moving sentiments
filled with a stardust dream,
longing for your touch
that only you can redeem.

Deeply hungry heart
that feels the need,
to know if  this is a dream or reality,
that only you can feed?

A Dream, or Reality? (c) Amber "V" Moonstone

I love this piece, and feel the authenticity and longing within your words!
We must dream instead of letting sadness settle in the heart.
There are so many unspoken messages flowing in between and around us it's difficult sometimes to discern...

dreams and reality are but two sides to one coin...
it seems that "longing to understand" never abates.

I BELIEVE THAT EACH UNIQUELY SHAPED INDIVIDUAL IS INFUSED WITH A LITTLE BIT OF BOTH WORLDS...DREAMS AND REALITIES. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT ONLY ALMIGHTY GOD CAN FULFILL THE LONGINGS OF THEM BOTH. EXCELLENT WORK, AMBER. YOUR SHARINGS ALWAYS PROVOKE 'THOUGHTS'. THANK YOU. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

These are the best dreams–the ones to long for. I often get them in daydreams rather than the ones I wake up to the middle of the night.

Amber, you lit on thin line here of dream or reality. Some of the dreams I have are more real than when I'm awake, the touches, etc. And it makes you sense the connectedness of it. Thank you for sharing this, Amber. Always loved your writing mystique... ;P

This is so rooted and grounded in an authentic depth of feeling, Amber, that it hits (in its gentle way) like a thunderbolt. I love the perfect metre and rhyme you have expressed your sentiments in: so compelling yet lyrical. How well you have kept the tension here between that "confusion" that swirls like a twister in your heart and the objective clarity that is still in touch with a perceived reality, hence being anchored. We all have such a question somewhere and who knows? When dreams and reality are separated by nothing more than a sheer spiritual membrane that could be penetrated at any given instant? Even if time and place are actually adrift, spirits occupy the same moment. One of your very best for certain sure. Love it! :)) xx
