In the Hall Hands Are On the Door

This is it. The last one. I think everyone is secretly happy about that fact.

Can't sit here like a cornered rat,
I must confront the blood and gore.
It matters not they have a bat,
In the hall hands are on the door.

I flung the door open so mad,
I stumbled for them with a roar.
Oh my goodness it's mom and dad
In the hall their hands on the door.

You might say they have had a few
They're back from the Tavern Blue

Okay, you can be done when you're done, but I'm thinking we will all be absolutely honest (as we always are) and "just say no" if that time ever comes. I mean, after all.....these are nothing remotely like: "Have you heard of the one where.......?" You have captured originality. I see a miniseries in here, with nothing reality TV about it. ~~ Diana

I am secretly happy about the fact that it was your parents and not some "ghost(s)" lurking about! lol Awesome series that I enjoyed thoroughly, Jerry. (I changed my mind about visiting the cemetary in New Orleans!) lol

This series that has got my attention,
Just send mom & dad back to Tavern Blue,

This series suggests a poet who fully understands both the curse and blessing of grounding snippets of the past so that the future can proceed. It's always interesting to me to see the infinite and subtle ways fear in people is revealed. In your case, not just revealed, but worn as tattered and thread bare battle gear, a metaphoric subtext that will not rest until the last cross-thatch of protection is made to face up. Worthy of taking pride in a special kind of self-worth. Congrats.

ARE YOU KIDDING...!? WHETHER WE AGREE WITH YOU OR NOT...YOU ARE AN EXCELLENT POET WHO ADDS THE SALT AND VARIED SPICES TO AD'S UNIQUE STEW. THIS HAD BETTER NOT BE THE LAST, JERRY. TAKE YOUR HANDS OFF OF THE DOORKNOB AND I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS, WE NEED YOU AND ENJOY YOU. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...
