|You are a master poet and wordsmith, Jerry. Whatever the form - formal or freestyle - you express yourself with a sure-footedness and confidence in your subject that is breathtaking. And all with such honesty, too. Sobering and classical in its message and yet contemporary in its feel and imagery, this is another which masterfully leads us to it's ominous conclusion. I can feel the desperation in those final lines which is all the more heart-pounding having enjoyed the "leisure and pleasure" in the first. Your unflinching image reminds me of Goya. xx|

|Earth-deep, compelling, terrifically-structured piece. Reads like an anti-hymn. I can just hear the minor 'key' in which it may have been composed. Superb. ~~ Diana|
