Just the experience of enjoying rain

See how the rain courses down the window pane

It creates beautiful trails where one can pick their path

Nearer I move to watch the artistry and skill like that of the painters brush,

As the droplets alight with a gentle touch

Gaze closely unto the droplet and see life’s miracle at work

Gently I lift the window pane to smell the freshness given to earth

Noticing trees as their branches dance at their touch

Energy provided from heavens love

Gently stretching my palm out to the rain,

How droplets alight, feeling gentle tickles… renewed again

A freshness that bathes my soul

Let’s absorb unto our skin its effervescence and allow it to linger

As that of the fountain of youth in wishful dreams

Carrying the heart of a child which lingers

For those who think foolish things

Rain can be mystically magical at times, particularly after a period of drought. Rain is very symbolic of life and your verses are a fine tribute to it. Thank you for sharing this gift, Carolee. Love and best wishes,

You give so much in your poetry, it can be felt and held by those of us who read it.

I like the rain, it waters my flowers. I like the way it runs down the window, sometimes I just stare at them and think. I like this Lily.

A pleasantly intoxicating glass of wine, is this piece of savory artistry.

Great write Carolee, such a rainy day reflection capturing the magic of rain drops and life.
