Art "Riders On The Storm" By Jim Warren
By La Belle Rouge
Love, Sweet Love, My Beloved Companion
during days of rain, through nights of pain
familiar whispers of devotion and desire
incomparable heart beating against mine
my fingertips trace the lines of your face
your lips alive, so close to mine I can taste
the warm nectar of all your sensual words
watching the moon in its fullness ascending
I fling, on lunar luminosity, a thousand kisses
dancing like flames in the darkness of dreams
winds whipping futile doubts into submission
carry me further out into a raging, night sea
when cold black waters swirl around my soul
expressions of love lift me, a sloop of dreams
together we sail love’s turbulent depths again
riders on a storm of liberation, stars white hot
burning slowly down into embers of nothingness
where we rest again in the arms of assurance
everything changes, everything but real love
nurtured in bold hearts of those who cherish it

|love, expressed in a million ways, yet its true essence as difficult to verbalize as the awe of the universe - you touch upon the deepest emotion of love in this inspiring poem Belle - "everything changes, everything but real love nurtured in bold hearts of those who cherish it", captures for this man the intense passion of true love - I wish you love, joy and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael|

|I was once again reminded of Jim Morrison's heavy rendition of “Riders in the Storm.” We are all but riders in the storm of life.

|I am never lacking for inspiration once I am prodded by such verses as these. We exchange and interweave when reading these romantic gems and it seems to never reach an end,

|I love the image of the "storm rider stallions" that you use to give voice and conveyance to these unfettered, totally unbridled, free-running emotions, Belle. So many of us long for such life and times and wholehearted abandoning to freedom of spirit. Strength and power unleashed and given full-rei(g)n. Wonderful! :)) xx|
