I hear our children crying
I see our youth are dying
I observe law makers lying
I say to myself, keep trying
For a better world, I'll keep searching
For equality, I'll keep working
Sometimes the work can be so tiring
But without it, freedom we'll be denying
There has got to be an ending
We must stop all the pretending
So until the children of color stop crying
And the youth of my race cease world don't care dying
For a better world, I'll keep trying
