Dedicated to a fellow poet who sadly was lied to by a former lover for 15 months

 Beware my Love

Beware my love of spoken words

Ones you’ve heard before

Use your mind and not your heart

Discern the truth from lore

Beware the smiling face that hides

The evilness within

Pretending how to tell the truth

A snake so full of sin

A face can wear a mask

Make-up easily spread

But once you peer into its eyes

Lies cannot hide their head

Remember love my care for you

For lies are easily fed

From those who wish to fool you

And lay in many beds

Men are more easily tempted than women. When they fall prey to this temptation then everything is ruined. Yes wise words Lily
