Some Nights

I can feel what your lips never say.

Sometimes,
I see
A stranger in your eyes…
Someone,
You don’t want me to know.
I’m afraid
It’s a masquerade
You’ve played
Somewhere before.
I can feel what your lips never say
Of someone you lost
Somewhere along the way.
I still hope and I pray
You will be by my side
When the past is dead and gone.

Some nights, you just want to hold me.
Some nights, you come into my heart.
Some nights, it’s like you don’t know me,
And all I can feel is the dark.

Sometimes,
You come
And take my breath away
When you
Take me into your arms.
I’m at home
Right where I belong
Safe and warm,
Close to your heart.
You’re with me, but you won’t be for long
If tomorrow plays
That familiar song.
At the end of the road
When he can’t recall your name,
I’ll be there to bring you home.

Lyrics I wrote for a song co-written by Angie Flores who wrote the music.

Billy,
A hit song for sure!

It does seem like song lyrics, but it would be nice to hear the music, too. The second to the last line tells all.
