Dragonfly's Mood

I bought a dragonfly mood pendant one summer, while visiting Savannah, Ga. I still wear it often. I am still inspired by it's mystical powers that reveal the colors of every emotion.

Dragonfly is fluttering his wings of pearl that dance in the

sky as this girl falls for you in the bayou.

A golden sign from above magically changed all frowns of

amber brown into a sapphire precious stone of clear deep

blue that smiles happiness of a new eclipse in hue.

The Louisiana lavender winds blows as I walk with slumber

to my Parrish under a satin moonlight, to cherish my own

reflection that is drifting off like a raft out to the turquoise sea.

My dragonfly’s mood is on course to energize miraculously as

I laugh without regret on a velvet eve.

And, yet the image of my spirit is an inch above the sunset as

it’s guided into a dream that is to be recognize and set aloft with

gleam.

Bouquet of crimson red roses are in full bloom behind myback.

My soul mate soon appear fearless next to me on a crack concrete bench.

The waves splashed love over our bodies like a blanket,

while you hold my hand in yours like a keepsake.

Your arm is clasped around me like a charm bracelet as we

sleep together on a bed of warm twilight sparkling sand as the

dolphin leaps in the bold glistering sunlight.

Like a thousand dragonfly mood colors, I shan’t miss as I

ascend in flight with my dear kiss.

My My My...Valerie...you do romance quite well and there are many memorable lines in this to prove it. The song on this youtube video reminds me of it so much http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNPQkauSr3w

This is my kind of poetry! I love the inclusion of beautiful colour, and breeze and slumber...I could almost smell the lavender..and feel the petals of the crimson roses..."warm twilight sparkling sand"...perfect! Certainly one to save in my library...
Thank you...

Your dragonfly mood is enchanting. I can feel it every little nuance in the night.

Unfortunately, dragonflies seem to be creatures of a hot summer day. And there could be something else there and being a dragonfly, as I wrote in my poem, “dragonfly” here. ;-)
