FEE - FIE - FOE - FUM ...
WHO KNOWS OF A JOISEY DUM-DUM?
© - Tom Hyland - 5/17/12
It’s an Adjective - the sound made by -
Forcing the breath through a narrow opening -
As in letter ‘f’ or ‘t’ ...
Is it not a short stretch to imagine that -
The vernacular ‘frickin’ could be an abbreviation?
“Just a ‘Frickin’ moment there, Dude!”
Accordingly, a short jump also to the use of -
‘Freakin’ as another more acceptable expletive -
When wanting to express oneself vehemently!
Then, the even shorter version would be -
‘F’in’ ... as in ...
“Wait an ‘F’in’ minute, will ya?”
All of these Fricatives are Futile attempts to -
Avoid saying that dreaded, nasty ‘F’ word!
As in “Aaw ... PHUCK!”
Now, here the emphasis has been changed to -
The ‘ph’ substitute, in lieu of an ‘f’.
Still the same ‘forced’ breath - Comprende?
Fertile Frannie Freckle Frantically
Fractured Four Fingers ...
That’s Seven “Frickin’ Fricatives!

|That health tip cracked me up! And so did the whole f'in rest.
The steering in my car is in no way connected to the steering wheel that drives the steering gear and turns the car and the steering wheel in front of me. When my high-tech installer asked the engineer in the company how it worked. The engineer replied, “f'in magic.”

|Real, proud, and very American. Hopefully, The Joisey Devil won't be paying you a call anytime soon. I understand those row house steps have to white washed often to avoid the stigma of being compared to a frickatively powerful shade lower than what whales excreted in the gutter. Fortunately this is all in fun around here and so I think we can sit back and enjoy a bit of Bawlmer humor. I think I'll mull this one over a ice-cold one with you sometime, TK.
