God knew ahead of time, I would need Him to lean on.
God knew, I would miss my mother for the rest of my life.

God knew, ahead of time, I was going to need a

supernatural friend. God knew, I was fatherless,

He became my father.

God knew, I was going to be lonely and scared,

so He walked with me in the dark.

God knew, I would make mistakes and fall down.

He showed up with his understanding hand to help

me back to my feet.

God knew, I was cold and hungry,

He sent me a warm blanket and food.

God sent dreams to me to prepare me to give me

hope to protect me to show  He loved me too.

God knew, I would cry so He waited until the time was

right before He took Ma away.

God knew, I needed His embrace of comfort  around

 me everyday.

Missing your Mother becomes amplified in the lines you offered in your beautiful poem...I know we all want to believe that our Creator works his wonders to lift us up when we need him as long as we believe. It is our undying faith that gets us through and the belief that we shall again see our loved ones someday when this wicked world is no more.

This is a really beautiful poem, almost a prayer, obviously written with so much emotion and devotion.
Thank you for sharing it.

Beautiful words of gratitude, belief and thankfulness in this engaging poem...We never stop missing our Mothers...but in time the pain softens a little and we can be happy with the lovely memories they have left us...I hope you are now at this point...
Hugs, Diana...
