Dear Reader: I hope you can view the film below this poem as a reference. It's a film produced in Russia and it paints a picture of how cold and impatient people in our society can be, especially to Senior citizens. However, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, dogs and cats and others are not exempt from this kind of verbal abuse. It's all too common and it's tears at the heart of our global society. If we really want positive hope and change it must start at home with a heart transplant and a huge hug.

Our Love Starved Society - Worldwide.

In Russia, a cold and hurting society of people are becoming colder and more impatient than ever.

In America, so many of us are all way too busy to be bothered to reach out to our elders and to others.

Husbands and wives have busy lives and verbal abuse and neglect on both sides happens way too often.

Fact: Hurting people need more love but sadly hurting people continue to hurt other people more and the cycle moves to others, and goes on and on.

Then one day, in an instant the husband, wife, mother, father, grandmother, grandfather is gone.

Then at a funeral quality time set aside for appreciation of a loved one becomes mandatory but it's way too little too late.

Conclusion: Hugs are a much better alternative than spreading more hurt around in an already hurting world.

Amen

Reference: Interaction Between a Russian Father and Son

At first, this son is verbally abusing his father in the film. This something that is sadly becoming the norm is our society worldwide.

What happens in the end is beautiful and young and old, we can all learn from this one.

Amen!

I agree with you. Verbal assaults do little to make lives happier. I have to instruct my helpers verbally and sometimes I misunderstood or my helpers take advantage of the fact that I can't do some things for myself and they take it upon themselves to do whatever they want rather than what I need.

This is so true John Michael, t'is up to us to begin a new cycle of caring for one another. In my studies of sociology, our new generation takes the attitude that someone else will take care of it. No longer do neighbors care for one another as they should as all humankind should.

Beautiful and compassionate I hope it reaches those which need to have their inner light turned on.

John,
everyone needs a hug and they are free to the giver.

How so very true, and I have always loved that photo above.

Excellent point that needs to be spoken aloud, John. Well done.
