Alone out there
Like the early morning fog
That overpowers the jagged hills
Before disappearing into nothingness.
Deep within you surge the tides of fear and suspicion.
You, a mere mortal being. Alive
Before a raging and savage herd without the will
To fight and survive.
As you stand out there,
Out there alone, alone in your own confusion.

See, the fog hovers menacingly
And the sun loses yet another battle
Only for now though, for surely
It will only be for a while before
The fog will rise and dissolve again
As it reveals the truths. For realities
Exist not only for a while but eternally.
Itís only the unreal that dies.
Look around you.
Reality is in the sun, the moon and the rain.

Fear not, my brother
For the day, the moon, the sun,
The night, the clouds, the rain
Even the fog that will hover
Like a bird of prey, are realities that exist.
Fear only thyself! Fight!
Raise your eyes. Look yonder.
Let those who have sight
Let those who believe
Behold lifeís reality too real to resist.

Let not your thoughts be filled with doubts
You hear me! Nor let it
By your own trivialities, be buried
Too deep within that foggy shroud
That continually veils your mind.
What do you hear? A sparrow!
And what do you see? A flower in bloom!
Or smell its fragrance as it is carried
By what little breeze blows?
Life is alive my friend. Donít be blind.

For what is man who knows reality?
What is he? Another statistic? No!
But a symbol of Godís creativity
Performing his part on lifeís daily stage.
He comes and goes, forever.
Yet life continues its journey
As we ride nonchalantly, morning, noon and night
Happily tagging along
Enjoying the free passage.

Coward! Quit not.
Donít give up the battle
Do not relinquish your hold
Of what is good and true .
No damn it. Donít! For quitters, they die young
Not innocent, but guilty.
Have faith in yourself.
Believe in yourself and what is good.
And be happy with yourself.
Life is good my friend. Live it! Be strong!

In Search of Truth and Freedom; A Path from Ignorance to Awareness by Dietmar Rothe

A scientist/philosopher explores the mysteries of existence in a highly personal quest for answers to life's ultimate questions, forging a bridge between sterile science and spirit..
