Our furry friends are very dear
We love them so much
People think we’re queer

Doing everything to make them happy
It’s doesn’t matter people think we’re whacky

Our furry friends keep us sane and whole
Providing for them is our goal
We bend, we beg, we love, we please
Our dear little friends intoxicate our hearts with ease

Thank the heavens for their love
Their very presence sends our hearts above
A soothing balm for our soul
Their being in our lives we do extol!

Suzie,
They are our dearest family members, yes they were wild once long in the past. we love them and they feel that, if they could talk it would be to say "More Please."

I really do wonder. Is it love, or is in a hidden need to be loved that makes us so attached to “pets” domesticated wild animals brought in from the wild to work for us, entertain us, and provide us with food.

They can't talk, so what would they say about us and how we treat them if we allowed them to?

very sweet... I've an old senior cat and I pamper him just like I would any family member...they indeed are "a soothing balm for our soul" thanks Suzie.
