Poisoned heart

A poem about someone trying to hurt a heart that cannot be caught.

A heart on fire, an empty soul

Shining eyes, out of control

A heart of love, that’s in disguise

Shielded from immortal lies

Revenge you seek, your twisted aim

A poisoned kiss, you blow to maim

Yet you can try, for day and night

A childish game, with futile plight

For I can see the real you

An abandoned life and sadness too

All the rage, hate and pain

You only need to love again
