While listening to Phillip Glassís The Hours, I slipped into some nostalgia of writing Echosis and it occurred to me that our brief visit on the planet might be merely the shadow of an echo, a mere hint of infinityís many mysteries.

Echosis of shadow

Nature's light
partner to the creative roots
begetting shadows stretched forward
as respite and nurture
for blank-canvassed mirrors

Just as Growth sprouts new buds
striving to secure its truth
even as its tenure brief
its seasoned seed
reorganizing light's landscape

So too the artist's quest for abstract's truth
drinks in light's oft times harsh reality
knowing to nourish the layers beneath layers
time must be allowed to manifest its purpose

For in order to cultivate the fields of now
not knowing what tomorrow may bring
an artist's consciousness must drink to its roots
where heart and mind's osmosis awaits

Light of creation is patient
knowing the harvest
will echo forth its bountiful extensions of countenance
only when shadows are honored as shaded reflection
when wisdom undiscovered
is allowed to reveal its gentle epiphany

To age
to rest
beneath other shadows once more
as love's perpetual blossom
awaiting tomorrows embrace of
yesterdays seedlings
anticipating future's children
as creation's emergent
not yet born

Such is infinity's
Echosis of shadow

Behind all labels, behind all self created illusions of mind and ego, or social dogmas and masks, there lies the truth, the answer to that question. Just as the Sun shines bright both day and night, it is only the movement of the planet and clouds that obscure it from view. But the sun is always shining. A Lightworker is awake to this truth, aware of their true presence and living in accordance with the divine plan. All beings that exist are a channel between eternal, formless heaven and the temporary world of form and illusion, earth. Why am I here? One does not always need to consciously realize the answer to this question, but living your life purpose is achievable in every moment, right now. Sit in peaceful contemplation, in pure awareness. Allow yourself to be present in every moment and feel within the depths of your heart for your inner truth, your guidance. The work is easy and the burden is light. Your true essence of being is so vast, it is beyond any concept, any word, thought or form. Merely listen....

Your subject, infinity's mysteries is something we all, at one time or other, at least think about, and if we are writers, poets, whatever, we write about it.

This stanza captivated me . . .

"For in order to cultivate the fields of now not knowing what tomorrow may bring an artist's consciousness must drink to its roots where heart and mind's osmosis awaits"

Drinking to the roots of your consciousness where heart and mind's osmosis awaits is just mind-blowing, Odin. I believe that we can, indeed, drink to our roots, but only a few can actually claim to have reached down that far. There have been times, on certain pieces I have written, that after the writing was done, I've had a very physical "weakening," as though i was near fainting. It has only happened a few times, but I am of the opinion that I was nibbling around the beginning of my consciousness and the osmosis was beginning to seep into me. Until now I couldn't understand the feeling. I know I have never drank to my consciousness' roots, but I feel I have been in the vicinity.

Loved this one.

coming into the realization that all of creation, as we know it, merely cajoles the heart, mind and think on greater things...things too wonderful and vast for the finite mind to comprehend, thus...for ourselves and our seeds...we trust and rest in the presence of what is just a 'shadow' of you're at the gate, now all you have to do is go through, thank you.
