She thinks of her
Now and then
The time they spent
And what it meant
To them
Started out
As a friendship
But love butted in
More time
Was spent
With her
Then any other friend
They were young
And cocky-
Quick to blame
Their romantic interest
Went up in flames
She can still smell
The perfume her lover wore
Perfumed memories forever more

Perfume can bring such a lasting memory, the scent forever clinging to your inner self. How it holds you to such a lovely memory of a person who brought so much to you.

Love ya!
