For all us delusional and refusing-to-grow-up-adults, sometimes a little levity coated skepticism makes the risk of experience palatable. Cynical I'm not. Reality based I am. Oh, don't get me wrong. There is love, void of the mystical power trip that some would have you believe THE REALITY. Of course, in the words of the cryptic comedian Dennis Miller (yeah I know, you know Odin as a liberal) "It's just my opinion, I could be wrong." See... I can get along.

Acerbic Sugar
Cotton Candy Happy
swirling in its cocoon of anticipation
coloring itself to fit your mood
served up by a three-hundred pound testimony
and all for Happy
Doesn't last long though
this euphoria of mind
today's relationship
tomorrow's Big Deal
BFFs to start
jock buddies "On the Road" for some
executive "Mad Men" washroom rewards for others
and always Gold watches for time served
All become tomorrow's
dumpster of limpid cones
once swirled with fluffy sugar
the sweetness of smiles
the innocence of childhood
Just a carnival of horrors
this sweet-laced Happy
Ya gotta LOL

yes odin and i on the otherhand stand back and see all of it.....the cotton candy happy the levity coverd skepticism and the carnival of horrors.....through my field-leveling rose-colored glasses....
REALITY can be so intimidating exhausting and i do love the taste of the disolving sweetness of cotton candy on my tongue |

| It would be so nice to be on a permanent roller coaster high for reality is practical at best. The sweet, the sticky, and baby like colors don't last long but, for the memory. it's all in the captured moments the sum of there total parts. that equals a certain respect doesn't it? |
