Our Court Jester
He is our court Jester with a smile and a grin
Coursing the page with his thoughts our chagrin
Many a smile and a question mark left
To all the poets he’s left and bereft
Through all his prose and his poems his mind seeks
Gathers his thoughts and releases them Eeek!
However we look to them for this great smile
While he is posting his thoughts and his whiles
Un-caged he’s running from John’s power net
Laughing and running throwing prose to him catch
But laugh we do so, and we comment and hark
Actually man you are rather smart!
So daily we look to see what more is said
And shake in our boots for what enters our head
But it is all good as we say harmonically
A poet and friend throughout here we all be!
But to look under the write is the poets’ own task
Sometimes we all carry our thoughts under mask
For wit and intelligence surely he bears
A thinker, a jester, a comrade he shares
So my dear fellow please tarry this way
For we all look forward to your prose every day
Enlighten our lives with your humor and wit
Never to worry you are gifted at this!
