Born to love and nothing else.

Yea, gentle bitch
Ye were so born
So trustingly
Yet so forlorn

Gave way to strength
Ye trusted in
The outcome may
Make some heads spin

When cornered does
Not a bitch fight
Does she not snarl
Does she not bite

The one she's come
To love so dear
Who beats her down
No more she fears

Yes bitch rise up
Tho you may die
Tis better than
To live a lie

Rescued perhaps
Then that hand kiss
Get used to it
Get used to bliss

That you once knew
So long ago
When you were young
When love once flowed

Then in your bed
Feel safe at last
Feel safe at last
Feel safe at last

A very telling poem of triumph over oppression. Well-penned in sharp contrast.

Laughing a wee bit not at what was gone through but the title. Oh how we all learn, some scratching our way through the depths of hell, others have life a wee bit easier. But truly in all things it is learning, and hopefully in the end it makes us all better yes? Always keep the love flowing Jane, I see you have learned to even in the way you sign off in all you review "love ya"...

Absolutely! Rise up bitch, and be accounted for. Love the fighting spirit of this one, Jane, love it very much.

Yes when cornered or our young are threatened we all have a tendency to revert to animalistic traits to survive and protect...such is the way of the world.
