I know the title of this may come across as a contradiction, but I have had to learn over the years this basic truth that often in a strained life of turmoil mixed with happiness and sorrow we are often left without hope for another tomorrow. For as long as I can remember I have been preaching love for all living things. I will not kill any living creature that the Lord God hath made. Often this has brought laughter to many of my colleagues at work as I usher a butterfly or cricket to the safety of outdoors, but that is ok…it is just me. For happiness is what you make of it despite what is going down in your own life…so as I always say…Love with all your heart always, and find true love in all things.

No Body Will Ever Love Me Like I love Me

How do we love another?

How is the heart brought into the true light of unconditional love?

Is it perchance that we stare into the eyes of another and you know that it is soul to soul?

Does she make you smile, or do you feel the pain of the past still and hang on leaving a large empty hole?

The truth in unconditional love lies within the realm of loving oneself before another.

Conceited as this may sound, before you can truly love, one must love self before sister or brother.

Yet now as 4 am approaches I look into the eyes of Jan and I see the pureness of true love.

Her eyes shine like the light of the rising sun; her eyes and heart as it beats upon my chest tells me my life is whole and not undone.

Her smile could calm the tempest of a raging sea…her love is true as she strives to please.

Therefore I can conclude; how can I really love her if I were to hate me?

For love is unselfish; love is giving and kind.

Love between two people encompasses the entirety of both body and mind.

So yes, I do love me which allows me to love each and all of you.

For if I hated myself,  then I would care not of other things or of what people do.

So you see, it’s ok to love yourself, for within this, you and you alone hold the key.

Nicely expressed poetry and the photo tells all. "To the world you may be just one person but to one person you may be the world" is one of my favorite sayings because it's true for most all of us. You are the world to Jan. God Bless! JMD

It is the first rule of love, to love yourself first. Once that is done, there is no need to spend endless time writing poems and songs about how hurt you are and you can get down to loving someone else without trying to own them–trying to make up for your own lack of self love.

A wise observation cast in a beautiful poem.

'In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church.. ' ~ Ephesians 5:28-29

Well spoken, Bubba.. and a gorgeous photo of you and Jan!
Love you both, Sis xo
