                                         this muscle grows

                                expanding its flexible hardness

                         around the softness it caresses

                                        around the neurotic nerves

                                                              and seductive bones

                                it touches and shares

                                penetrating its own phantasmagoria

upon the landscape of idea and awareness

and on all the dreams it will ever assemble or impart -

                 it enhances

the contours of its own shape

                                                               by impressing

its uniqueness into the earthen drama

it collectively plays a part in -

                   this miraculous muscle

           cultivates the strength

           it will eventually relinquish

to experience the deific flux of being

                 alongside the drama of nonbeing

                   supporting acuities

 the mind cannot escape

nor the heart has the desire to surrender

To me there's a lot of eroticism here this is a poem that packs a sneaky little punch.

jude, metaphoric excellence - "to be and ultimately not to be", expressed and hosted in a statement of primordial lusting - how much better it could be, I cannot imagine - I wish you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael

Oooooooo... bite me off a piece o' that! Think I've just made a miraculous recovery!! :)) Besides the obvious definite "feel good" that this most exhilarating yet sublimely tender (as others have said) extended metaphor gives the reader as it seeps into the synapses, it is also wholly satisfying in a holistic sense of the wonderful bringing together of the essence, purpose and meaning of life as can be experienced in physical, emotional and spiritual climax. This poem could also be a picture of what "vision" is, without which we wander, wither and die. This is truly a Forese Olympian write and one of the very best to showcase your poetic voice, I think. Superbly unique in both expression and concept. I love it. In fact, an Olympic athlete could exemplify this whole effort and visionary process well, given their punishing training schedule to get those muscles into shape to win the ultimate medal; they must truly know what it is to be both gods and total unseens, experiencing that deific flux on a daily basis. Resizing requires both a penetrating realism as well as a perception of what's really what, coupled with the unquenchable pursuit of dreams. You've certainly struck Gold with this poem in my book. Keep your eyes fixed on your desired prize, Kartero. xx

While your words wanted to push my thoughts to a more base place, I forced myself to see the deeper more profound meaning here, Jude. This twisted my brain in multiple directions, kind of short-circuiting me so early in the day but provoking complex thought, none the less.
Take care,

It's hard not to come up with a few cliche responses and be a bit snarky but, this is deftly crafted , creative and the mind can surround itself around a dream.
