I'm back in the saddle again....

It’s a mighty blight upon the landscape
It’s a pox there on the land
It’s the total abomination
Wrought by the hand of man
It’s a place of sad Bad Spirits
where many have died
Even today you can hear
their moans and their cries
It’s got a harmless sounding name
It is just called F-4
It shows just how much mankind
has rotted to the core
Therein lies a viper
all snuggled in his bed
If he ever awakens
all of mankind will be dead
This is I-C-B-M Paradise
They are monsters meant just to kill
There is one of them ugly sumbitchs
Right over there on Burd Hill
If that sumbitch like a Roman Candle
ever roars off into the sky
I will kiss my horse, then kiss my mule
then kiss my ass good-by

Love the tongue in cheek humour about such a serious topic. Sadly...until all countries can learn to play nice...they are still necessary.

The cold war still rages as long as we think we have to protect ourselves with nuclear bombs stored in your backyard. It's really too stupid to think that we would want to engage in nuclear war. Dr. Strangelove, study war no more.

As long as they stay in the ground and don't rain on humanity we can then live "with" them rather than die "from" them...most of those bases out here in Jersey they have emptied and turned into senior citizen housing projects...its only right as the seniors are the ones when they were younger, that put them there...e

saddle, Duke; the scenario is real and frightening,
how the hell did we ever let ourselves come to this?

Powerful agenda! There's alot of fuckin' Erin Brockovich in this! Environmental activism is a poetic theme here. This is the kind of poetry that scores readership, Duke! I know you're taking the photographs posted in your recent poetry and this should be noted as copyright as well. Your photeaux is equally as creative. ICBM Paradise would be best placed up front in your upcoming book of poetry. It's powerful and shows you are aware of the condition of gaia and the consequences of her mismanagement. Better than good, Duke. I encourage you to keep writing and compiling.
