Her name was Sadie Sue
Owner of the Shadylane
She was barkeeper
And madam of twelve girls
Now Sadie protected
Her girls-
As best she could
She had a six-shooter
Knew how to use it
Some men wanted more
Then her girls
Were willing to give
Sadie would have
To step in...
One night a stranger
Came into San Francisco
Had a few whiskeys
At Sadie Sue's Shadylane
He picked out one of her girls'
Demanding this and that
Sadie came to the door
And gave a hardy knock
The stranger open the door
Standing there in his longjohns
Pointing his gun
Sadie shot him in the heart
Like I said, she protected her girls
Every single one
