Pacing the nothingness of my mind

Where no tracks are ever left.

Like a feather caught in a breeze,

Each step is done with ease.

A thought takes shape with words

That I had never seen before.

Yet the meaning was so clear,

As from nothingness it had come.

There was little to ponder.

I was to saunter forth

Into the realm of reality;

Armed with knowledge given.

So true. Sounds just like the amount of effort I put in thinking about a poem before I write it. Usually, I start with a blank page, and it just pops into my mind as I write. Weird.

Years of experience teach us that so much we took for granted in the past is not a privelage but a gift. Excellant write George.

You have weathered some storms, George, and the weathering of those storms is what has made you who you are today; the man who can write with such profundity.

"Pacing the nothingness of my mind" Often, of late, it seems I've been suffering from this same affliction. Makes it damn hard to write, but you somehow seem to manage to keep coming up with good stuff.

Much enjoyed. Dick

So lithe a poem, such girth in its message. "Where no tracks are ever left." is originality galore, as is: a thought "That I had never seen before." Those gleam. Well, I sure do want to keep the following two lines in the front of my cupboard: "There was little to ponder./I was to saunter forth." The epitomy of calmness, and calmness is the greatest strength of all, I believe. Thank you for the clarity of this script ~~ Diana
