A breath of Autumn
High atop the tree of life
Leaves idly do hang
Painted with the brilliance
Of many autumn’s shades
A smell o’ so distinguished
Warmth it wraps thee in
Falling to the ground
A settling there begins
Summers heat hath left us
For some it can so singe
And leave us feeling withered
And often times impinged
But aye the silver lining
A breath of autumn brings
For beauty’s found in dying
Parched by summer’s heat
She spreads her lovely blanket
To proudly don her gown
Enriched with all her moisture
Leaves supple on the ground
We dive into the masses
Crimson colors she has spread
As womb who has prepared us
New birth awaits ahead
Her fire gives us warmness
Her beauty we have seen
Caressing all our senses
Aliveness so it seems
For in her folds of colors
New breath before a life
All of which we’re drawn to
New colors of new life
Feel the breath of autumn
Her skin that she doth touch
Feel the richness fill you
You long for it so much
