i am led by light-stashed-smoke against the city
words-fall-gentle-sleep-in-wind-tapped, in angry pits
then, as if, or name, unhindered-non-existent
i am stuck force feed
at past reformed
rushing cars
i pause, push my lilac book bag up

sitting sloth-where damp wood
benches park on shoulders, relax
away from sun-warmed lingering teasing and stored,
where everyone knows my name
collected city from brown and sky
the wind of lax
white shirts,
with mastery blue skirts

i am puzzled-distorted in fragments torn wishing to be
invisible
amidst bare junctions empty handed, here
i come from, i came out of mounds
where the clock ticks away my possibilities
rushed in past debris of empty tomorrows
while i am standing, there,
i can't always hold the rain
suck dry fate, restore

give me five to the third degree power
let my finger tips be like magic wands
i will
paint-wash my visions
quench my
thirst in iambic bows
contorted
rooted in the dusty core
daughter of america
get my work done with out getting my panties in a bunch
knotted
twist

i am
fuming resentment
lacked in bottoms of shackles
left by daddy
not knowing ME
dream seeker
soul searcher
trudging

i feel the wood winds stale
creased in my eye lids
cries
sublimed messages, america
trying to tame my mind

i am at the border
checking lice in pleased dreams
the long-standing mockery blemished
in sunken shoving crowds
ready to enter the grace, lands of america
the cadence-adventure echoing in ruined mucks
past brownstones, corner shops hanging carcasses
stenches of drained meat paralyzing my nostrils
upward. in mobility
