With man in perpetual search of various forms of love, the often frustrated results seem to perpetuate the notion that love itself offers no definitive answer. Might we ever discover…

Love’s Endgame
Love cannot be all
As fear demands its say
Knowing well delusion holds strong
Even as love desires peace
Many would say resolve is such
That it cannot avoid danger
For in its quest to embrace the threat
Passion often seeks out preservation in shadows
But hope stands independent
Bathing in the shadow light
Determined by neither success or defeat
Knowing benefits remain paradoxical
Asserting virile the yin
Of yang
Of yin
Fortunately
Sanity maintains the divine smile
Inviting perpetual hope
Accepting love’s endgame
As indelibly void of compass

Exquisitely expressed. We must love while we can, for the endgame to most love is, has often expressed in these pages, death.
