Money matters
There's a shortage of money
In this green, pleasant land
It depends who you are
Or where you may stand
There's money for watching
Any sport you can name
And money for those
Who achieve any fame
Bankers take millions
While others lose all
Some climb ever higher
But many must fall
There is money for many
For them there is plenty
But for the old and the frail
The pocket is empty
But, what of the children
In the drought stricken places
Where men are fighting
And don't look at dead faces
Seas full of water and
Technology is known
Yet children die thirsty
No compassion is shown
Much money is used
To buy arms to kill
No one gives the women
A preventative pill
There is money for many
For them there is plenty
But for hungry children
The basket is empty
Money in abundance
But on several sides
Many forms of greed
In its company rides
Blind to distress
Politicians don't bother
They have expenses
Cuts make other's suffer
Homeless, just numbers
To bandy around
While forgotten people
Sleep on bare ground
There is money for many
For them there is plenty
But greedy hearts ensure
Others' purses are empty
