Even if Felicity’s line is crazy busy, Todd is eager to prove that he has the punch to it… and is the final innuendo aimed at Cynthia or Felicity? Whose plot is thickening now?

Crazy the line that delivers such punch:
Easy love comes  once, twice and then dies.
Your flaming goddess lips… my rocket launch,
and unto farthest reaches fly my spies
to find out deepest truths as yet unknown
whilst we probe on within without our fears,
‘til candles up in space show faces grown
as constellations lit with crystal spheres,
an afterburner glow to sate sun spots,
older love, vestigial, left but to tease
our torrid torrent, blazing reign drops hot,
and pillow talks that musing minds may ease.
All these before were prefaces to date,
mere checks to balance; we await the mate.

I love how easily that wonderful line: "Your flaming goddess lips... my rocket launch", sits amid such a neo-classical construct as these sonnets, used in the traditional sense of "love" poetry with its lofty tones and aspirations. Yes indeedy, I have enjoyed this triangular on-going exchange of sexual-emotional energies, Roger, and I have a hunch that there's a real co-dependency growing where NEITHER relationship is sustainable without the tension that the 3rd-wheel gives it, thus a checkmate will satisfy no one. Thank you so much for your very generous review of my Bowerbird response which I enjoyed writing. I think you must be motivated in no little part by the fascinating comments that this series has elicited as you continue to develop and "get inside the heads" of your 3 protagonists here. Your musing pose says it all: you're a natural people-watcher as well as linguistic scholar! Thanks for the inspiration! :)) xx

To know the right mate is to experience the wrong ones....which you have shown extremely well here.

It really is not very difficult to become "enchanted" or "mesmerized" by someone; sometimes one does not even realize it (or will not admit it). Nicely done, Roger. Love and peace,

HE'S TALKING TO FELICITY AND HE IS THOROUGHLY ENJOYING THE 'GAME' SHE IS PLAYING...IT TURNS HIM ON. WHAT IS SAD ABOUT THIS IS SHE WILL ALWAYS HAVE TO 'PLAY HOUSE' AND THEY BOTH KNOW IT. SHE IS PLAYING A 'ROLE' AND HE KNOWS HE DOESN'T REALLY KNOW THE TRUE FELICITY...YET. THUS, THE LINES;'...AND UNTO THE FARTHEST REACHES FLY MY SPIES TO FIND OUT DEEPEST TRUTHS AS YET UNKNOWN...' YUP...SHE HAS 'CHECKED' AND THEY AWAIT...THE 'MATE'. FINE WORK, ROGER. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

You got me with this one, Roger. A gamut of humor, innuendo, and great imagery, and in a sonnet form to boot. These lines of yours have fused with my synapses:
"Your flaming goddess lips… my rocket launch,"
"an afterburner glow to sate sun spots," hahahahahahaha
Let me know what vitamins Todd's taking. Hahaha (-:
Enjoyed this. richard
