A sensual sense of darkness
in a very tiny corner of my heart
can anyone see it.. is it meant
to be revealed like a fog dense
from the lake growing into
madness with no escape
drowning in my imperfection

Discarding such an illusion
taking hold comes an awakening
from the very core of my being..
the desire to jump into the lake
and just swim naked and free ..
after all I am the master painter
by my own portrait's signature to
be ascertained by vivid living
colors for the aspiration to ascend

That phrase "Take the plunge" is expressed eloquently in this personal little piece. They say the best writing comes from the writers who have the courage to bear their souls, your imagery here is vivid and personal. Good work.

Go on, Vivian, jump!
and delight in the moment, the sheer sense of it;
as others have said, a side of you not revealed
before and as Ron wisely says, 'a little bit at a time'
keeps us hanging (even salivating) for more.
A joy of a write.

Oh just do it! I used to swim at night at Seal Beach eons ago :) A wonderful feeling it is. Of course I was much braver then. Nothing more lovely than feeling free :)

Wow this is coming from a place that I had not heard from you before. Stunningly beautiful in a haunting way.

Much peace, love and light,

You are revealing a lot. Then again, there is something sensuous about revealing little bit at a time. There comes a time when you just have to jump, naked or not!

Quite unlike anything I recall reading from your pen. Although we all have our dark, you have been very proficient in camouflaging yours. Now it peeks its head out from the corner of your heart. Taking that swim can be tantamount to washing the dark away.
