Laughter Alone

From crimson oceans
where choked laughter once screamed
now fallows in swaddling cover
awaiting creams and fragrances
to tickle the vibrations center
of another kind

Once proud with school books shouldered
destined it sit upon kidskin thrones of thievery
these modern pillagers from Ivy Halls
still suckling on innocence past
sigh contempt at Washington's deus ex machina

Gloating from stories on high
where the air is light
the laughter heavy
sweaty fingering of papered pleasure tremble
about to post another bonus for Cayman waters

Lesser sanguine chuckles
now beckon the button
where new aspirants
with encapsulated gasps
like such impassioned beginnings
elevate to waiting spires
of suffocating moneyscape craters

For is not laughter unheard
save laughter alone

those 'kidskin thrones of thievery'
great phrase!

don't get me started - two cousins of mine,
good boys once and both very successful academically
Oxford grads now and what have they done? - joined
investment banks..i've ceased all communication with them

i'm just not prepared to take any more of it, however indirect;

as always, Odin, home run!

Substance to reflect upon, Odin... ...and I am sadly afraid that I must concur with Ron about the so-called "financial leaders." Thank you. Love and peace,

Who gets the last laugh? I taught Public Policy and Private Enterprise to graduate students in business. Accountant MBA students were not required to take my course. I discovered that their primary purpose for an MBA was to accumulate money and no other. Very shallow, unworthy folks run our financial systems.
