Grammy wished upon a star…she wished with all her might!
For a little boy just like her son, to love and hold him tight.
So many times she couldn’t count, she hoped he’d come along
And then she’d get to sing to him his favourite bedtime songs.
She waited for a long, long time and then her wish came true
A baby boy was born to her son and she cried like Grammies do.
Perfect in every single way, her boy was all she’d dreamed,
And her heart was filled with happiness, fair bursting at the seams!
Grammy’s life was filled with bliss she’d never known before.
And her happiest times were when she heard his knock upon the door!
But children grow so very fast; she barely had time to blink
Before she knew it he was off to school quicker than a wink!
But Grammy made a solemn vow to the sweetest kid she knows,
She promised him he’d carry her heart no matter where he goes!
Some things in life are certain, and of course some things are not.
But as long as he lives her grandson knows…Grammy’s love he’s got!
