The doors have always been open...but I remain in His Presence. Why? Because I have fallen in Love with Him. I am then...Jesus' 'willing' captive. I refuse to leave Him. But, you say to yourself, I Love Him too! So, what makes your 'Love' for Him so different from mine? And the answer is...absolutely nothing! However, I find when I am inspired to pick up my pen...most times, I write of 'Him'. This then, is my 'calling' and I cannot help it! Nor, do I want to! There is nothing 'holy' about me. I am a sinner((Gal 3:23) who is daily forgiven and daily receives new Mercies and Grace(Lam 2:22-23). My platform is that of, 'Inspirational/Christian Poet' and this I do. Thus, no matter how how I try, though I am often ridiculed and shunned, for me? It's Jesus! Do...or die!

No matter how I try...I

cannot cease...glorifying His name

No matter how I try...I

cannot His flame

No matter how I'm ridiculed

or scorned

I must bring a Word to this world

...the forlorned

With my life...He speaks

this is my ministry

To those so like me, yes...

the hard pressed...the weak

To show that even when

we do fall...

we can go on...after all

Though we're all imperfect

...and full of sin

there's still...a victory to win!

We can survive...

we can not give up!

There's 'urging' ...

in this 'sometimes' ...bitter cup!

It is when we try to inscribe

our own...destinies

That we find ourselves...undone

sinking... in 'ego' seas

The gift not our own

but for the earth...this seed was sown

not just for now...this light is lit

but generations...will profit

Get up, I say! And remember...

we cannot all be on top!

But whether in the middle or on the bottom...

to Jesus...? matters not!

Thus, my friends...'pilgrims elect'

we do what our 'souls'

won't 'allow' neglect

No one can judge, for in the end

God alone knows heart's purpose...

its full effect

But as for me...?

From the outskirts of the poetic clan

I take my stand, I raise my hand

For no matter how I try...

it's Jesus...! Do...or die!

Dear Joyce,

I been a fan of yours for years now and I too cannot rest.
To love Christ is to put Him first, for He is higher than the rest.
I will wander a bit to and fro and write a silly poem now and then.
But my main focus is on Jesus, he is my Father, my mentor and my best friend.

Yours in the LOVE of Christ,

John Michael Domino

Wonderful Joyce. Loving God and following Him is first, and when we do as He directs we walk the path He has for us. Stick to your purpose Joyce, no matter what. You are a light in our lives.

You go, girl! I'm not ashamed to witness. I don't care what other people think because if we deny him here he could deny us on that day of an eternal judgement! My father would witness to every person he came in contact with. Strong man!

Love ya!

I just love this, Joyce! It is so thrilling to know that God is in the written word He gives to His poets. Really, I--and you--and others, are not the "poets." God is. It's just so exciting to be His instrument!
And you would never want to stop the flow of thoughts that come from spending precious time with Him.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Being In His Presence!!
People "living in the world" do ridicule unfortunately
they manifest and are stuck in all the ways of sin
while seeking to please and gain approval of "mankind"
over seeking the shelters and approvals to please the Lord.
I too have forsaken Our Lord while "living in the world"
it is through His Abundance that I am In His Glorious Light
to see my own personal journey. I am so utterly Joyous!!
I like how you mentioned the forgiveness each and everyday
some people stay in a vice grip of the past to crucify...
It's a song and dance that only the Lord can change
